Cubicle System | cell®
winner reddot product design award 2007
cell – a fine example of adaptability - with its varieties softcell, hardcell, classiccell and variocell, it is a welcome solution for contemporary designed sanitary facilities.
- Cubicle system classiccell: modern look based on smooth surface design
- Cubicle system hardcell: unique appearance resulting from asymmetrically folded front elements
- Cubicle system softcell: unique optical appeal due to rounded form elements
- Cubicle system variocell: perfect flexibility thanks to an unmatched number of combination possibilities
For the design of the cell product line the architects Regine Leibinger and Frank Barkow of Barkow Leibinger Architects, together with the engineers at Kemmlit, went on an exploration of material and surfaces. Many creative form finding principles as well as different treatments of metal surfaces were implemented.
Awarded with two reddot design awards 2007, the iF product design award 2008 as well as a nomination for the design award 2008 of the Federal Republic of Germany. The TÜV also confirmed and certified the quality of the construction with the GS sign (tested safety).
The appearance of cell can be further individualised with an assortment of metal sheets. The choices for builders and architects range from special aluminium surfaces, to coated steel sheets, up to variable stainless steel surfaces.
